In my itinerary, you can visit each facet that the whole country has to offer. This journey through Central Vietnam will walk you through Bach Ma, Hué, Hoi An, Da Nang, Quang Binh, and Vinh Moc for an unforgettable adventure. Let’s discover these captivating destinations!

Bach Ma National Park: Nature’s Wonderland of Central Vietnam
Nestled between Hué and Da Nang, Bach Ma National Park is a haven for nature enthusiasts. Covering an area of 37,487 hectares, this park is a biodiversity hotspot. It has lush forests, cascading waterfalls, and diverse flora and fauna. The trek to the summit of Bach Ma offers breathtaking panoramic views of the South China Sea and the verdant landscapes below. Visitors can explore the park’s trails, encounter rare wildlife, and immerse themselves in the tranquility of nature. This park offers 5 lakes treks where you can take a dip on each of them! How amazing is it to have a fresh swim after a long walk?💧
Hué: Imperial Grandeur of Central Vietnam
The ancient city of Hué, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was once the imperial capital of Vietnam. Steeped in history, the city boasts the magnificent Imperial City, a complex of palaces, and temples that reflect the grandeur of the Nguyen Dynasty. The Perfume River flows gracefully through the city, adding to its picturesque charm. Visit it on the sea and take a boat ride to discover the magnificent pagoda from another point of view!
Visitors can also explore the royal tombs and pagodas. My 5 must see pagodas are: Thien Mu Pagoda, Tay Thien Pagoda Tu Hieu Pagoda.
Tu Duc Tomb has an island where you can sit and enjoy the calmness of the lakes and the beauty of the tomb. Khai Dinh Tomb is breathtaking and quite modern. Those hundreds of statues of human size are almost making shadows to the magnificent view that the tomb has to offer on the river.
If you are adventurous you can push further and visit an abandoned playground which gives at-night horror movie vibes!
Hoi An: Timeless Beauty of Central Vietnam
Discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Hoi An. Explore the charming ancient town with its well-preserved architecture, lantern-lit streets, and vibrant markets. Don’t miss the chance to sample local specialties, such as Cao Lau and White Rose dumplings.
To discover everything about the local specialties check my post. At night the city is illuminated with hundreds of lanterns which give a romantic vibe to this cute city. Hoi An is also renowned for its tailor shops, where skilled artisans craft custom-made clothing.
Da Nang: Modernity and Beach Bliss
Da Nang is a modern city that is the base point of many wonders. The city offers a myriad of experiences for every type of traveler. It is the base point for many explorations. One of them is the UNESCO World Heritage My Son to discover the Cham culture. You can explore the adventurous peninsula of Son Tra to peek at the magnificent beauty of the Vietnam-preserved landscape and the incredible pagoda with the Lady Buddas more than 65m tall!

Quang Binh: Caves, Karst Landscapes, and Adventure
Quang Binh province is an adventurer’s paradise, home to some of the world’s most spectacular caves.
