Awesome 3 days in Geneva with kids budget friendly
Are you looking to have fun with your family in Geneva without overthinking it? Here is my recommendation for things to do in Geneva with kids for 3 days!
If you see this after your page is loaded completely, leafletJS files are missing.
1st day in Geneva with kids:
What better way to start the 3-day trip around the Switzerland capital than by going on a morning walk near the lake? You can take the boat to cross the banks and get a closer look at the iconic Jet d’Eau.
Please note that for the crossing, boats are part of the city’s public transport (like the bus or tram) and therefore cost a modest fee. After this walk which warmed us up, we can cool down by swimming in the lake and its clear water!
The right spot will be on the “beach” at the Bain des Paquis. Here you can have lunch directly next to the lake for a copious and fresh plate at La Buvette des Bains! In the afternoon you can visit the old city.
In the afternoon, you can visit the charming old town on foot for families with older children. For those with young children, it is best to take out the baby carrier because the historic center is made of cobbled streets. Otherwise, you can always visit the city with the little train which passes by the main monuments of Geneva 😉.
I recommend the website booking where you can select the best hotel for your family at your budget 😉
2nd day in Geneva with kids:
For the second day, you can go on a short trip to Saint Julien en Genevois (in France close to Geneva). It is accessible by public transportation (car) directly to a fun sporty complex.
There, you can enjoy a kid’s park on the upper side, a huge climbing wall, and an aquatic park downstairs. The various activities the places offer can be toddler to teenager-friendly.
If you want to have some me time why not enjoy the spa in the meantime? You can end the day with an afternoon coffee in Columbus. I always go for the chai latte which is to die for.
3rd and last day in Geneva with kids:
On the last day, after the intense day 2, you can rest and enjoy a chill morning.
You should go for one of the best coffees in town: Remor. To end the day you can have an afternoon in Parc des Bastion.
With its beautiful trees and its playground (swing, sandbox …). Do not forget to bring back chocolate THE Swiss specialty by excellence! 🙂
End, and … Repeat? 😉
I hope you liked my 3-day recommendation of things to do in Geneva with your kids 🙂 🙂 If you are staying longer I recommend to visit the busy city of Bern and the peaceful Neuchâtel both suitable for a family trip. If you are interested you can see my post on those two wonderful cities.
